A Focus on Sustainability

Before it emerged as a global trend, Kruger had been deeply committed to sustainability for decades as a core part of our vision and operations. We are now expanding this legacy by embracing the concept of sustainable prosperity. This approach emphasizes the importance of balancing economic growth, environmental health, and social equity to ensure that all stakeholders can thrive.

Kruger takes comprehensive actions to drive positive outcomes for everyone involved, including combating climate change, protecting natural resources, investing in greener technologies, improving energy efficiency, fostering a healthy work environment, supporting education, investing in research, and collaborating with communities and First Nations.

Building Stronger Indigenous Partnerships

Our Kamloops Pulp Mill was recently awarded the bronze-level status for the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) program by the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB). PAIR is an online management and reporting program that supports progressive improvement in Indigenous relations and a certification program that confirms corporate performance.

This recognition highlights our unwavering commitment to answering the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s call to action #92 for business.

In the Community

At Kruger, we take pride in being dedicated neighbours in the communities we operate in. This accolade is a testament to the continued hard work and dedication of our employees who strive every day to make a meaningful impact.
